Walked up to Mukase yesterday for the first time at the suggestion of friends. We ordered a variety of dishes and sides and feasted! The woman who served us was very nice, and everything was delicious.

The food was really good. It's authentic Ghanaian food. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. Other patrons came in, spoke and held conversations as if everyone were family or had known one another for years. The waitress was very patient and accommodating. She helped us with our order and with understanding things on the menu.

Worth the wait, but you may wait. Everything cooked fresh. Meats especially cooked well. Kofi and Agyeiwaa are exceptionally gifted and kind, bringing cuisine from Ghana to Chicago. Check out their Tuesday and Wednesday specials!!! Love this place. Almost a weekly visit.

I order from here almost weekly. By far one of the top West African restaurants in Chicago in terms of quality and quantity. I have tried a lot of different dishes and have enjoyed each one. Some orders have been a miss, as is the case with any other restaurant, and the owner can be a bit on the *cold* side as some other reviews have mentioned. But she’s also running the restaurant entirely by herself which can be stressful for anyone. The amazing food makes up for it for sure. If you’re looking to try West African cuisine this is the place to go. Pictured: Egusi Stew (Beef) and Motherland Combo w/ Jollof, Beef, and black eye pea sauce.
